I purchased both the metric and SAE versions of these for a compact set of 9 flex ratcheting wrenches (18 drive-sizes). With the spline drive I can use either SAE or metric on a bolt or nut that is a close fit without rounding off the corners as would a conventional drive geometry, so I can more conveniently deal with cases where a bolt and nut are the same size.

With both ends being a box-end, the overall length is not much shorter than a standard wrench of the same drive size.

These combined all of the features I was really looking for in a compact set: double ended, ratcheting, flex, and spline-drive.

The packaging it came in is a bulky and cheap plastic tray, so alternate storage like an Ernst wrench rack is probably in order.
