Combat L2 Tactical Puzzle Darko-Partly Serr. Review

I bought 2 Combat Ready knives (The Grumpler and Puzzle Darko) on a whim. The main appealing factor was how low the cost of these knives were. However, I had no clue how good the knives were, since I could not find any reviews of any Combat Ready knives. After receiving them in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised by the elegant quality of these knives.

The Puzzle Darko is extremely lightweight for how big it is. The blade is Aus 8 steel, and it came out of the box sharp enough to shave hair. The Puzzle Lock is like an inverted liner lock. It doesn't just jam up against the back of the blade like regular liners. In this case, the short liner plate actually locks firmly into a cutout groove in the blade. In a sense, it is like a hybrid between a back lock and a liner lock, which in my opinion is the best of both worlds. This is stronger than most liner locks, and more reliable than a back lock, since back locks have a reputation of getting jammed in the presence of a little dirt or sand. Overall I am quite impressed with the Combat Ready knives so far, and I plan on buying more. For this price, you'd be crazy not to pick one up.
