If you think you buying a product wth legendary SOG involved-forget it! Just a huge stamp "Taiwan", or so to say made in china will tell you what to expect. All I can say about this knife-this is a TOTAL GARBAGE. Do not waste your money. I just can't believe first reviewer is saying about some "avid knife enthusiast" approval. Blade is made of steel-this is true, but so cheap that the tip of this "knife" bended falling on my concrette garage floor from not even 3ft(three)!!! No wonder they did not say what kind of steel used. Handle is not aligned with the blade and one side is like 1/4 inch thiker then the other. Knife was totally useles after my fist camping trip. It did not brake, but after sharpening a few sticks and splitting some wood for camping fire it wouldn't probably cut even butter. This is my second product with Rothco name and second total disapointment. If you see Rothco-just run away.
