I had heard comments about Condor quality control in the past, so I was skeptical to try this out. I don't know why I waited so long. If they had problems, they must have fixed them: I've purchased six of the same knife since then, to give to grand kids and friends. One of them sent me a picture of them standing on it, wedged in a tree. It came hair popping sharp out of the box, and the grind was good and even. I resharpened it the other day, and it took me 52 minutes LESS than my spyderco (out of S30V). The carbon steel holds and edge great and is easy as pie to resharpen with my little norton stone. What more can you ask for ask for a $20 Carbon steel full tang work horse.

Have owned it for several months now. Using it mostly to keep the dogs toenails trimmed (saves $22 every time I do that, so that's paid for the tool). Also replaced bathroom faucet, found the old nuts so rusted that I couldn't get them to turn even a little bit. Tried 3 different kinds of penetrating lubricant and nothing worked. Then realized that I could get cutting wheels for this tool--Dremel makes larger, better & more durable ones than come with the tool. Got those, got under the sink with eye protection and started slicing through those rusty old bolts. Had been trying other things for nearly 3 weeks. Had the bolts cut off in 20 minutes, and the new faucet installed in another 20 minutes. Excellent! Saved a $150 plumber call. Very handy item, glad I have it. Plenty of power, no problems at all.

While the tools are not of the highest quality, they are more than adequate for light and occasional use. What I love is all of the essentials for common tasks are there, with many of the more common sockets and hex wrenches in both SAE and metric sizes. This is important because many products that require customer assembly use metric sizes. Please see the description above for a complete list of what this set contains.

I love the way that this tool set reflects the real life needs of a homeowner. The tools were thoughtfully selected based on what a casual tool user will most need for home repair and maintenance, such as picture hanging, quick repairs, measuring and leveling and similar work. In other words, for 99% of what a normal homeowner does that require tools this kit contains the right tool for the job.

Another thing I love is the case itself that holds the large array of tools in a compact manner. More importantly, you can tell at a glance if there is a tool missing because each one has a shadow cutout that holds it. If you are diligent about checking to make sure all of the tools have been stored after use then you will not lose tools from this set - and it's easy to visually spot the way the case is designed.

Obviously this set is not intended for professionals, although with proper case they would probably hold up. They are, however, perfect for the home handyman (or woman) and will last a lifetime if properly cared for and stowed in their proper place after each use. To me that equals value.

I got this poncho for my B.O.B - I figured that having a poncho that can convert to a simple tent would be better than carrying a poncho and then a separate tent. Its a compromise of course. Its not nearly as sturdy as a real tent. But its quick to set up and light. So you give up a little to get a little.

I actually modified some additional items to make it a better solution, using a tarp for ground cover and an insect net.
