Dewalt XRP Cordless 14.4 Volt Drill/Driver DCD920 (Bare Tool only) Review

Because I have a 14.4 volt 3/8" VSR drill driver, this promotion caught my eye. I dropped my 3/8"l a number of times, and I am sure that it will not be long for this world. Therefore, I wanted something to replace it with, and something which could use the batteries I already had. The price was excellent, and the drill is definitely a good tool. It is a bit heavier than the 3/8" tool, and it also has three speeds versus two. Something which surprised me was the LED illumination which comes on when the trigger is pulled. This helps when the lighting is dim, or non-existent. Also, you don't have to rotate the clutch ring all over the place when switching back and forth between drilling and driving, as the tool automatically locks out the clutch when the selector is in the 'drill' mode. Overall, a good tool to have, I believe.
