Wilton 13403 Cam Action Drill Press Vise Review

I bought the Wilton 13403 8 inch vise just one month ago. I have used the same vise where I worked and was so impressed that I bought one for myself.

Granted, this vise costs three times what an imported vise sells for...but it is ten times the vise. Everything is square and parallel, the jaws shut evenly and completely. There is no burring of the movable jaw shaft from the camming mechanism as is found on the imported trash. It seems that all three rods are hardened and ground. The vise is very smooth operating, and remains that way after years of use.

The jaws are fairly hard and easily replaced. To fully appreciate this vise just set it next to an imported copy.
