One of the major problems that I encounter working on different projects is trying to see what I'm doing. I know what you're going to say, "use a light source." Well, this adjustable wrench has one already built in. It's safe, focused, no shadows, and it gives the user just enough light to get the job done, both quickly and correctly. The Craftsman 9-Inch LED Lighted Adjustable Wrench is a crescent wrench in design, added are integrated dual LED's which improve visibility and eliminate the need for a separate light source. Just push the On/Off button and your wrench provides easy, one hand operation and the light has an automatic shut-off, meaning that it stays on for 3 minutes. That is an excellent feature for my eyes that after 40 years seem to need the extra light to see clearly.

I was a bit of a skeptic at first, but after using this wrench on certain jobs, like under the kitchen sink, I was glad that I had this lighted adjustable wrench in my toolbox. This tool has three good things going for it, Convenience, Versatility, and Comfort. These are what you are looking for in a good tool and add the Craftsman Warranty now you have a winner. The grips provide extra comfort and reduces hand fatigue, and the machined parallel jaws for maximum gripping strength. Rust resistant finish. Perfectly parallel jaw surfaces, grip safety and reduces possibility of scratching surface. Construction: Chrome Vanadium construction. The knurl is set well and the adjustment is precise with your thumb, some tools the knurl is loose and there is a lot of play in the jaws. Not so with this tool, the parallel jaws are well machined to the close tolerances are that of a professionally made tool. I am very pleased with the quality, fit and finish of this wrench.

The dual LED lights are powered by three AG5 or 393 batteries that are easily replaced in the tool's handle. These lights, in operational mode, have an automatic three minute cycle, if it is not manually turned off. I like the overall feel of this wrench. It has balance, the handle is very comfortable and the dual material handle cushions hands and helps prevent slipping when you need it you can get a bit of light to see your work. This wrench would fall in the category of a specialty tool and 4 stars would be my rating. Although, this is one of the best constructed crescent style wrenches, new, that I've held in a long time.

This wrench is very well-constructed and is still tight and precise after a year of moderate use. I would recommend this wrench for those that need some extra light to see what they are doing. Also, I would buy this tool again, if I had to, as I keep pulling it out when I need this size wrench.
