For anyone that is a DIY type and cant stand fighting with cheap tools, you will understand the joy that a well build tool offers you.
Yeah there are cheaper benders out there but if you need to make more than a few bends spending the extra coin for a Ridgid bender is money well spent.
I had one of the 1/4" benders then made the mistake of loaning it to a friend. Well that was a year ago and i cant live without it anymore and of course he 'dosent have it anymore' so its time to buy a new one. While i was at it i got the set of three; 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2". All are equally well built and will stand up to years of solid use. The make nice smooth bends and dont gall or crimp the material, just like a quality bender should. I had my 1/4" bender for 5 or 6 years and used it heavily on stainless tubing for a while, and it was a joy to use.
If you just need a bender for a single project, just get a cheap one. However if you want a bender that will be around for years of use, you cant go wrong with these.
