This knife seems to be very well made and sturdy. It is very sharp and seems to hold an edge well. The blade is thick, giving it the appearance of strength, although I haven't tried to pry anything with it nor have I tried bending it. It is really a 4.5 star knife as the fuller near the back of the blade goes all the way through which is difficult to discern from the photos. This is probably to lighten the blade some and perhaps improve its balance, but it is a feature I don't like. It doesn't seem to detract from this knife's overall integrity however. The stag handle is a little wide for my grip, but I have smallish hands, and natural stag is variable in its size and shape so there is no way to know ahead of time exactly what you will get. The sheath is also quite nice. It is a thick leather with a leather spacer where the blade rides to protect the stitching. The back of the snap is exposed on the inside so it could potentially scratch the blade over time. I recommend covering it with a piece of thin leather or felt and gluing that in place. The snap should also have been moved in further or the retaining strap should have been a little shorter as it allows for excessive play when the knife is strapped into the sheath. Overall, aside from these minor issues, this is a very nice knife. It is made in the U.S., and comes with a lifetime warranty.
