These cutters really simplify the task of removing trim and caulk and also for opening stuck windows. They are especially useful for removing trim that has been sealed in place with caulk and paint. I used to use a utility knife for this task, but when you are dealing with a lot of trim your arm can get pretty sore from forcing a utility knife along the painted seam. These allow you to use your oscillating tool to slice right through the dried paint and caulk. Basically, these are like thin but stiff putty knives with sharpened bevel edges on each side. The bottom side is flat, while the top bevels on the right and left edges to a knife edge.
