The combination of the ratcheting mechanism and it's off-set angle provides a great and unique tool for removing or installing in those cramped, hard to reach places. Although I haven't tested it to its limit, I do not imagine the ratcheting mechanism is designed or intended to be used for really high-torque tightening. However, you can use the open-ended wrench for that which appears to be made of high strength steel. Overall, the tool is well balanced, confortable and very high quality.
