First, I'm a long term martial artist who was looking for a good knife for practicing with. Finding this knife was an excellent find.

However, if you're looking for a good folder - This is not your knife. The Product description is for a folder, but the HK Conspiracy is a solid fixed edged blade knife.

Beyond that lets go over its good points.

- Size: This is a rarity these days, a short bladed but nicely thick tanto styled knife. Excellent for close in combat and self-defense techniques. Thick enough to also be an excellent hiking/camping blade
- Weight: Heavy for its size but very nicely balanced
- sharpness: Ships sharp enough to shave the hair off your arms
- sheath: tension lock sheath that snuggly catches the top of the grip
- bonus: cord tie portion juts out from the handle far enough to be used as a glass breaker in an emergency.

I mentioned that I had been looking for this knife for martial arts practice. Its size makes it great for not just cutting and stabbing techniques but for anchoring various locks or seize and control moves from the Filipino martial arts, chinese martial arts, or armed variations of styles like Krav Maga. Think the type of control moves from the CQC style in Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4. If you find the handle too thick, it can be removed with a small hex wrench and cord tied off in its place (some of my fellow Filipino Kali stylist swear by cord handle wrapping for their blades).

Condor Tools & Knives Garuda Drop Point Knife, 5-Inch Review

The Garuda Drop Point Knife is an outstanding general purpose camp knife. The 5 inch blade is perfect for medium duty chores and easily preforms double duty as a camp kitchen knife. I find the blade is easily sharpened and holds a razor edge very well. The handle is large and easily held. The only weakness is the cheap nylon sheath that comes with it. My Garuda will be soon riding in a good kydex sheath on my belt while I hunt, fish and camp in the Colorado mountains.

I work on bicycles. Bicycles use a lot of metric allen screws. These balldriver screwdrivers allow me to work at an offset which really comes in handy when the screws are in tight places. The handles are well designed and thick enough to make gripping easy. They are also very comfortable to use. The only real complaint I would have is that there is no 6mm tool in the package. But otherwise, this is one of my favorite collections.
