Makita GA4530X 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder with Grinding Wheels Review

We use this grinder to shape and cut steel and grind all sorts of things around the barn. It's strong, easy to use, has lots of torque and Makita's grinding wheels are really super.... we use them both to grind and to do surface prep before painting. The handle can be attached on the left or right side... which brings up the only minor issue: The on/off button, which is on the left side of the grinder as you view it with the grinding blade facing down -- seems easy to trip off accidentally. Placing the handle on the left side helps avoid this, and newer models I've seen in stores seem to have a slightly redesigned (and larger) on/off button.

I'd certainly buy another, and we use it heavily on steel without any problems. It is one of our most-used power tools.
