Bessey H1462 ES Irregular Angle Clamping Set Review

I just got these as a gift and was a bit surprised at what was included. I have not had a chance to use them yet since the bar clamps I do have will not fit in these. The insert area is very small and looks like it will only fit the Bessey� TGK series clamps. The clamps are NOT included as was thought by the gift giver. You need at least one large clamp and one small clamp as shown in the picture. Also the Ball and Socket are not attached to each other so it may take a few tries and an extra set of hands to use.

Dovo Polished Chrome Plated Razor Adjustable Review

I am new (again, after 30+ years) to DE shaving. I deliberated long and hard over which razor to purchase. I decided on this Dovo Progress because I wanted an "adjustable". I had read such good things about the Merkur Progres...and then someone clued me in that Dovo was the parent company of Merkur. When I saw that I could get this Dovo for about $25 less than the identical Merkur I figured I'd take the chance.

Boy!....am I glad I did. This is a great razor. Out of the box, the finish was excellent. No perceptible imperfections in the finish. The adjustment indicators line up perfectly (I had read that some of the Merkurs suffered in this area). Also, some people dislike the yellow adjustment knob. When seeing the razor in person, that yellow knob is very subtle...I do not feel that it detracts from the razor (altho, being a man...I am sure that a Chrome Knob would have been much more pretty...after all....shiny=good...right?).

I've been using this razor mostly on the lowest setting (#1). On that setting, it is mild enough that I do not have any problems getting a nice, close shave. Plus, I am no longer tied to spending $3 to $4 for one of those 4 or 5-blade plastic gizmos. Instead, I spend about $0.20 each for high quality Astra blades!

I highly recomment this razor for both new and experienced DE shavers.

The vendor packaged this shipment well....and service was speedy. No complaints on that front, either.

I would definitely buy this razor, from this vendor, again!
