I first saw this hammer on DIY Network. When Christmas rolled around I knew exactly what to get my husband who is always building, remodelling or fixing something around our house. I have converted all my old metal socket rails in both my tool boxes to Ernst 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 rails. They are well made and hold the sockets well without making them too difficult to remove. Some of the smaller sockets sometime require the help of pliers to temove only because the smaller chrome sockets are hard to grasp well enough with your fingers. Only time will tell how the plastic construction holds up!

great weight, and much less effort than a non-dead-blow hammer to tap work into place in our vice or lodge or dislodge items. The plastic coating is durable enough for its intended use, but I will say that when a shop-hand used this hammer on a bolt head to tap it loose, it did divit the hammer. That is an abuse scenario and I still recommend this hammer, but some type of load-spreading reinforcement on the hammer face would have gotten this 5 stars.
