Magnum Ceramic Backpack Knife Review

I keep mine on in fishing vest. It cleans Trout and Salmon quite nicely and stays sharp - no need to carry a sharpening stone or other sharpening device. It could have been lighter if they didn't put metal strips in the handle. It could also use a lanyard hole but I drilled my own with a 3/32 drill bit. I really wish it would float but it doesn't. Those 3 reasons are why I didnt give it a five star. If this one ever breaks or sinks to the bottom of a lake or river I'll buy another one.

SK 4516 3 Piece 7-1/2-Inch, 13-1/2-Inch and 19-1/2-Inch 3/8-Inch Drive Locking Extension Set Review

I purchased the S-K extensions since based on previous experience with the brand, I know that they make some pretty decent tools. Imagine my disappointment when I tried these on Craftsman, Armstrong, Wright and Proto sockets and they didn't lock on to any of them. They work okay with S-K sockets, but even with those, if you pull hard enough, the socket will release. Also, and maybe this is because what's on the photo is an older model, the locking mechansims on these extensions are HUGE. Forget using these with spark plug sockets, they're just too bulky.

Go with the Armstrong extensions. They're a bit pricer, but they're perfect at what they do. The Armstrongs aren't bulky at all and they hold on to sockets like there's no tomorrow.

I wish I could give these a positive review, but honestly, for what they are and what they cost, they sure don't deliver.

Bosch SG450AF 120-Volt 4500 RPM AutoFeed Screw gun Review

I bought this screw gun to help me complete the drywalling of my entire basement and a new laundry room. This tool is SIMPLE to use, and works awesomely. It is fast, light, and accurate. In my opinion, that is what we should all want in a tool, right?

This gun would receive a five-star review if it wasn't for one major flaw: The screw gun uses proprietary bits for the auto-feed attachment. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find the phillips head bits, and Bosch informed me that they do not plan on creating a #2 square head bit when I contacted them. So what do you do when the phillips head bid strips out or breaks? And why create a screw gun that would DESTROY the difficult job of screwing subfloors, then not enable it to do so?

To Bosch's credit, they sent me two free additional phillips bits when I called them, and they registered my comment about the square bit. Their customer service rocks, and I would hope that Bosch would: 1) make both bits, and 2) make them readily available. That would INSTANTLY make this a five-star tool.

To further explain: The screw gun itself can handle any type of bit. It is the auto-feed attachment that creates the limitations. So if you buy this for drywalling, the auto-feed attachment will work fantastically unless the bit breaks, etc. It has for me (I am on the original bit still). If the bits break and you cannot find replacements, or if you want to use this for subfloors, you can remove the auto-feed attachment and use it as a normal screw gun.

the pocket knife was purchased for my husband for Father's Day and was supposed to be new. The knife was not "new" but maybe a returned item for resale by Amazon. The blade had already been sharpened some and the 'Uncle Henry" name plate fell off with-in days of me giving it to him. He was very unhappy about not be able to find the name plate so it could maybe be glued back on.

MASTER USA MU-1120RB Tactical Neck Knife 6.75-Inch Overall Review

I'm a knife collector, and since I got into Kershaw and Spyderco and Benchmade, I haven't looked back much on $10 beaters like this. But a friend of mine had this knife (his with a pink handle) and the sturdiness of the sheath and the decent quality of the steel (440 steel) sold me on it. It's not a great knife, but the rainbow finish looks very pretty, and it came very sharp (fell through a paper sheet out of the box). The sheath is also good quality, it locks the knife into place firmly, and can either be worn around the neck, or clipped to your pocket with the pocket clip on the back. It's not perfect, but for the price, it's a pretty solid knife.

Heavy Duty Pro-Grade Air Framing Nailer Kit 8-10 Gauge - 2" - 3 1/2" Review

This nail gun is beset with the problems found in many import items...they get the form down, but the function does not follow.
The gun shoots a 3.5" framing nail into Douglas Fir just fine ....at first. Mine lasted about 2 hours on a new shop addition project. Then, the gun stopped completely. After the crew left, I took the gun apart with the supplied Allen wrenches. The piston/cylinder was filled with a congealed oil/grease. NOW....THESE GUNS MUST HAVE OIL PUT INTO THE AIR CYLINDER AT LEAST ONCE A DAY...SOMETIMES MORE. That goes for all brands. The oil that was originally in this, had combined with the moisture in the air to form a semi-solid mess. I cleaned this out and re-oiled with a standard air tool oil, and the gun works properly....albeit marginally with several infuriating traits.

I am comparing the quality of this gun to several brands of professional guns. With one of the name-brand guns, a framer can nail all day with no adjustments or maintenance.

1) Clean ALL of the original oil out of the gun and buy some air tool oil. Use the air tool oil about every 4 hours of use.You have to remove the back end of the piston/cylinder to do this at first.Then you drip oil into the air connector.
2) NEVER use oil based spray lubricant on the nail magazine.....the head.....the trigger.....or any of the external parts.....NEVER. Use ONLY a dry lubricant spray, either PTFE based, or graphite based. A petro-lube will attract small particles of the strips that hold the nails. The gun is poorly designed, with many recesses and little corners, that this builds up in.Dry lube will allow these particles to be cleaned more easily. Use an air blow gun to routinely blow out the trash from the magazine...the head....and all of the external mechanism.
3)The gun does not allow you to pull the trigger and bump the head to shoot a nail. THIS SLOWS DOWN NAILING, but in the grand plan, it is probably a better safety feature for the non-professional. You have to firmly press the head down and pull the trigger.

CONCLUSION....go over the gun thoroughly first. Remove the old oil and lube all the external parts with dry lube. KEEP the gun magazine and head completely free of accumulated material by routinely blowing it off. Use good nails.Keep the piston oiled with several drops of good air-tool oil every few hours. THIS GUN WILL IRRITATE A PROFESSIONAL CARPENTER. It is a poor choice if you expect the quality, speed, or low maintenance of a known brand. BUT, in the scheme of backyard, hobbyist, occasional use....IT WILL DO THE JOB. I would CAUTION, that when it begins to misbehave, it becomes very dangerous, due to the need to empty and fill the magazine, and clear nail jams. USE COMMON SENSE...ALWAYS UNHOOK A JAMMED GUN FROM THE AIR SUPPLY BEFORE CLEARING.
I, personally, don't like this gun.
