Product was discounted and described as new but an opened box item. Plastic end piece is actually secured by some type of pin which was missing. Could not open to load staples and the two handle end pieces just fell away from the hammer body. Only head (hammer stapling end) is contained in the plastic packaging. Vulnerable plastic end was free to slide freely within the shipping box. Since there was no sign of the pin ever being there on arrival, I suspect when it was shipped from the vender the pin was missing - something that should never have been overlooked since they did not have to open an opened box item. Additionally a label affixed to product said it was used. I will try another because it is perhaps the only one not made in Chine or Taiwan out there, but will pay full price.
