I ordered this to install a stretch belt on a 2007 mazda 3. It didn't fit on the pulley because the lip on the pully was too wide. I had to screw a shorter bolt in and rig it to work but it did get the job done. Very handy I'm sure for other applications where it actually fits on the pully.

Locking knives are great; they combine the compactness of a jacknife with the working safety of a fixed blade knife. I wish there were more Swiss Army knives with at least 1 locking blade. Most locking knives suffer from one or more of the following:

Too heavy; pulls down on your back pocket and eventually destroys your pants.

Hard to open with one hand; try to open it one handed and you'll split your thumbnail.

Expensive; I think of them as a tool, so I don't want to pay more than about $25.00. Otherwise I'll be afraid to damage the finish or break the point.

The Gerber Paraframe I is strictly utilitarian; no wood or micarta insert in the handle, no handcrafted look to it. The skeleton handle has just enough steel to keep it rigid and it's so light you won't be constantly reminded it's there. With a flick of your thumb, the blade smoothly opens and locks into place. The half-serrated blade is sharp out of the box for cutting branches, boxes, and that damned, heavy guage, molded plastic packaging that everything comes in. The locking mechanism keeps the blade from snapping back on your fingers. The blade is thick enough to be used for prying.

At the price I paid at Walmart ($19.99) it's a great value.

I purchased the Milwaukee 18 volt lithium 1/2" hammer drill kit and could not be happier. I had read excellent reviews about this item and they were all accurate. This thing is powerful and the batteries seem to stay charged forever. It's heavier than some cordless drills, but then it's so much more powerful. It has a metal chuck ( not plastic like the competition ) and the chuck jaws are carbide which helps grip the bit. I like it so much I bought a second drill body only to compliment the kit. I was never a fan of cordless tools, but Milwaukee has changed all that.

I purchased 4 of these in both left and right styles over the past 5 years but recently I realized that they are inaccurate. The problem is that the size of the individual inches varies compared to the 3 tape measures and steel rules that I have. I found that some of the inches were up to 1/32 too big or small. In many cases the variations cancelled out within a few inches but sometimes they accumulated so that measurements were 1/16 or 3/32 off. I guess the quality control in China where these are made isn't very good.

Ultimately, I was able to buy adhesive tape measures from Oregon Rule Co. [...]) that are accurate and precise.

The kit came quickly and has served me well in the 6 weeks I have had it. Shrink tubing, no problem. Paint removal? No problem. Frosted windshield?
